The founding team is made up from three passionate professionals who have worked at different stages of their careers which ultimately led them here – our HQ in Tübingen, Germany. Tacos Bar & Restaurant started out as an idea that began years ago with two friends (one of whom was Max Krahner), so much so that we named ourselves after the acronym it uses!

From our beginnings as an event company through to our current location within the city centre, we have developed a custom-tailored cocktail menu where every drink has been designed with care into tasting drinks specifically crafted from fresh ingredients sourced directly from producers outside of supermarkets (and occasionally at special events).

We are dedicated to using just the best wild species and all-important small, fresh roasts. We use only the very best New Zealand coffee, and use only the best New Zealand cottonseed oil in every batch. Many of the coffee machines we roast for ourselves are built with recycled parts, and we use them for the space used by our roasters. We use the best practices for sustainability, and use very little water when roasting.

We are a boutique roaster based in Washington, DC. We roast coffee at three coffee houses in the DC area. Our coffee is sourced from the best small farmers in the region. We roast our own single origin beans as well as specialty coffees from speciality mills and other specialty roasters. Our coffee is our specialty. We take pride in the high quality of our coffee, and our customers do too. We think coffee is a life-sustaining beverage. We also think it is a fun drink to drink. So, we thought why not make the most fun drink? To make a great cup of coffee.
